It Steams a Dream: Renovating a Stanley Model "M"

We are very pleased to be able to present this film which recently won a "Hamster" for the best film by an adult at the Hamstone Film Festival. The Festival was supported by Grace Productions, Harveystone, South Somerset District Council and Stanchester Media Arts Trust. Film maker Simon Power wrote, "I have produced a number of films on the subject of Steam and have become a great admirer of the amount of skill involved in the restoration of vintage vehicles. When the opportunity came up to spend the day on the maiden voyage of a recently restored Stanley Model M, I couldn't resist taking along the camera to record events. The resulting film features shots of the immaculate detail and stunning paintwork of the Model M as it toured around the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge on a wet summer's afternoon. This I intercut with an interview by engineer and restorer, Grant Goold." His film also won the Best Short Film Award at the Somerset Digital Arts Festival, 2009.
